POSITION:                                        BELLPERSON

RESPONSIBILITIES:                                               

• Greeting guests upon arrival
• Escorting guests to rooms and assisting with luggage
• Overall traffic and parking control
• General guest services
• Shuttling guest to/from Edmonton and Calgary
• General upkeep of lobby and front courtyard
• Newspaper delivery                                       

                                                                            
QUALIFICATIONS:                                                 

• Valid class four drivers license an asset. If the successful candidate does not have their class four it will be required they obtain it within their probationary/evaluation period
• Must be in good physical condition
• Preference will be given to candidates with excellent knowledge of Jasper Park Lodge particularly room location, the town of Jasper and local attractions
• Well groomed
• Energetic team player
• Able to work flexible hours
• Current first aid certification an asset
• Previous guest service experience necessary
• Must be reliable and responsible
• Exceptional English verbal and comprehensive skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting - 0-1 hrs/day; Walking: 7-8 hrs/day; Standing: 7-8 hrs/day; Bending/Reaching: 4-5 hrs/day; Pushing/Pulling: 4-5 hrs/day; Physical effort: high, usually does not lift weights over 120 lbs (equivalent to two heavy suitcases) however at times may be required to lift 150 lbs; Visual effort: moderate; Environmental stress: high-inside/outside, night driving, unpredictable weather conditions
 

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive bicycle whenever possible for deliveries
• Recycle outdated newspapers
• Collect all recyclable from the lobby
• Recycle all agendas, tour sheets as note paper.
