POSITION: HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising a section of approximately 40 guest rooms
- Supervising a team of 7-10 room attendants
- Initiating and maintaining effective communication within the housekeeping department and other related departments throughout the hotel
- Ensuring prompt handling of all guest requests
- Daily administrative task of completing Room Attendant progress reports
- Ordering of linen closet supplies from housekeeping housepersons
- Controlling of lost & found procedures and standards
- Controlling of all housekeeping and room keys
- Assisting in the training, supervision and maintenance of grooming and conduct of housekeeping staff
- Continuous supervision, training and on‑going performance reviews of room attendants
- Inspecting (on a daily basis) all assigned rooms for cleanliness and maintenance
- Supervising the supply, proper use and care of equipment, linen and cleaning supplies
- Reporting all maintenance deficiencies and follow through with repairs in rooms and surrounding areas
- Ensuring that all recycling is carried out daily
- Maintaining inspection records on a daily basis of room attendants, guest room status, mattress turning, periodic cleaning and any other projects when necessary
- The effective operation of the housekeeping department in the evening including Night Service
- Any other duties that may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous supervisory experience necessary
- Experience in a housekeeping department required
- Excellent verbal communication skills

POSITION: Houseperson
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Chopping of wood/kindling
- Cleaning and resetting of fire places
- Ensuring that the property is stocked with wood at all times
- Ensure that all guest deliveries are made in a timely manner
- Organize storage areas including furniture storage
- Organize recycling programs within the housekeeping department
- Delivery, set‑up and pick‑up of cots/cribs as requested
- Locking of all closets at the end of the shift
- Reporting of all maintenance problems
- Ensure cleanliness of the exterior of guest cabins & windows
- Other housekeeping duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to work various shifts
- Able to work without supervision
- Self motivated
- Must be in good physical condition
- Must be able to operate a standard transmission vehicle
- Good knowledge of the property an asset
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Good spoken communication skills
- Must hold a Valid Alberta Drivers Licence**
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

POSITION: Housekeeping Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To supervise office daily operations coordinated between Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, Afternoon Room Attendants, Guest Calls, Front Office and other Departments.
- To assign room tasks to Room Attendants as required.
- To initiate and maintain effective communication within the housekeeping department and other related departments throughout the hotel
- To ensure prompt handling of all guest requests
- Daily administrative task of completing Room Attendant progress reports
- Ordering of office supplies, chemicals and supplies required daily by department.
- Effective control of lost & found procedures and standards
- Daily control of all housekeeping and room keys
- To assist in the training, supervision and maintenance of grooming and conduct of housekeeping staff
- Continuous supervision, training and on‑going performance reviews of afternoon Room Attendants.
- Inspect on a daily basis the cleanliness of office area, back room area and outside back recycling area.
- Supervise the supply, proper use and care of equipment, linen and cleaning supplies
- Report all maintenance deficiencies and follow through with repairs in rooms and surrounding areas
- Ensure that all recycling is carried out daily

POSITION: ROOM ATTENDANT
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning a section of guest rooms as per The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge standards
- Maintaining condition and cleanliness of guest rooms and their surroundings within the section, for example: corridor, patio, grounds
- Ensuring that all recycling is undertaken on a daily basis
- Cleaning and stocking linen closet at the end of the shift
- Reporting any maintenance defects in guest rooms and surrounding areas to housekeeping
- Providing night service (refresh rooms in the evening) when required
