POSITION: CASHIER
DEPARTMENT: In Room Dining
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide friendly, efficient Food & Beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Jasper Park Lodges standard
- To maintain a clear and clean area
- To balance cash at the end of each shift
- Answering telephone and taking guest orders
- Processing all guest checks
- Remitting and balancing a float daily
- Assist servers as required
- To perform server duties/functions as required
- All other duties as assigned
- Expedite orders and delegate calls to servers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills
- Cashier experience an asset
- Must be self motivated
- Experience with a POS system
- Must be independent and able to work without supervision
- Must possess a professional manner at all times
- Must be responsible and dependable
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting: 7-8 hr/day; walking: 3-5 hr/day; standing: 3-5 hr/day; bending/reaching: 3-5 hr/day; pushing/pulling: 2-4 hr/day; physical effort: would not be lifting more than 50 lbs; environmental stress: hot/cold conditions, busy environment
POSITION: CAPTAIN SERVER
DEPARTMENT: In Room Dining
STATUS OF POSITION: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports directly to the In Room Dining & Assistant In Room Dining Manager
- Responsible, when scheduled, for the direct supervision of the Lodges' In Room Dining department in conjunction with the Manager & Assistant Manager
- Building and maintaining a high level of customer service and staff morale through outlet promotions and staff incentive programs
- Taking an active role in assisting the outlet trainer with the training and development of new and existing staff in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and outlet standards
- Ensure that Fairmont Hotels and Resorts core standards and Jasper Park Lodges service standards are maintained and followed at all times
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety within the In Room Dining in accordance with health regulations and Jasper Park Lodge’s health and safety responsibilities
- Ensure that the outlet is operating within the confines of the ALCB regulations
- Help the Managers develop action plans to improve outlet performance
- Become an active member of a Jasper Park Lodge committee
- Through management coaching, be able to analyze and understand financial documents in attempts to maximize outlet performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two years' experience in a full scale restaurant or In Room Dining including 6 months supervisory experience
- Beverage operation experience an asset
- Knowledge of MS applications and Lotus an asset
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Excellent organizational & leadership skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Meet the minimum expectations of the Gallup Front of House Perceiver Interview

DEPARTMENT: In Room Dining
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide friendly, efficient Food & Beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Jasper Park Lodges standards
- Ensure timeliness of Fitzhugh’s Express deliveries
- Ensure timeliness of In Room Dining deliveries and tray pickup
- Provide professional service while making the guest comfortable in their room
- To report any irregularities or comments from our guests
- Ensure that a clean, tidy and safe work environment is maintained at all times
- Any other related duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food & beverage experience
- Good communication and organization skills
- POS experience an asset
- Work well under pressure in fast paced environment
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must be independent and able to work without supervision
- Good physical condition
- Positive attitude
- Team player
- Must possess a Valid Alberta Driver's License**
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure all recyclable materials are properly sorted and taken to appropriate designated recycling area. This will include bottles, cans, paper, cardboard, plastics and compost.
