Fishing on Sparrow Lake

Fantastic fishing opportunities outside of the national park are available in the Hinton and Valemount area. If you like to see some Salmon jumping the water fall at Rearguard Falls on the Fraser River, come near the end of August and the beginning of September. There are even float trips to see the Salmon spawn.

If you forgot your rods at home, there is no problem in hiring a guide for the ultimate fishing experience. They will find the fishing holes for you and probably will not have to tell that fishing story about the fish that got away!

Fishing boats are placed on most of the lakes around Jasper for you to rent without you having to haul into the remote lakes. Electric motors are also available for hire.
