This day hike is fairly straight forward as you park your vehicle in the hot springs parking lot, probably will be greeted with the Big Horn Sheep's tongue. The sheep love to lick minerals off the parked vehicles here. The trailhead is just behind the complex and the trail has a steady grade to the top. Well marked and well traveled.
This trail is well worth the trek as you can see spectacular scenery for the short effort, and great for the whole family to do. Bring lots of water.
You can put a twist to this hike and make a loop around the ridge. Caution to anyone doing this, as there are steep faces to negotiate plus bushwhacking! For anyone with a camera on the side of their waist should check the pouch often! As Shayne and I found out the hard way. After the picture below, my camera was lost in the bushes. Luckily after an hour long, I mean long hard search, the end result is you get to see these pictures.
