Taking the low route along the river
I find the river route (trail 9c) is better for this time of year as the weather dips and you get the most out of the sun. This day hike loop takes about 2-3 hours depending on how fast you walk and how many stops you take. Most people can probably do this under two hours.
We found the wildlife was abundant today. We saw Woodpeckers, Grouse and Big Horn Sheep. The river is about to freeze over as chunks of ice was floating down the river.
